Together for a stronger Central.

Our strategic goal is to break the cycle of poverty, family by family, by advancing family health, education, social capital, stability and economics.

Together with partners, we have identified specific initiative areas where Promise can help the community work toward more positive outcomes. These initiatives are coordinated, co-created and implemented by Promise partners across the neighborhood.
  • Quality Early Learning
  • Family Partners

  • Successful Student Transitions

  • Nurturing Community Leaders

  • Neighborhood Safety & Stability

In each of these initiatives, we are committed to amplifying resident voice, aligning organizations and community assets and catalyzing whole-family opportunities for children, families and the community.

The Cleveland Central Promise Neighborhood movement was catalyzed by the Sisters of Charity Foundation of Cleveland, which has served the Central neighborhood for more than 25 years, and remains one of the lead partners in Central Promise. Together, partners have grown understanding of how to work together to acheive meaningful outcomes in collaboration with organizations and residents in Central. Through a collective impact framework, Promise partners co-create shared goals and strategies to achieve those goals.
