Foundation sponsors 2015 Crain’s Women of Note & Summit

Throughout 2015, the Sisters of Charity Foundation celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Saint Ann Foundation. Saint Ann was the nation’s first health care conversion foundation. Its creation by the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine profoundly changed the face of philanthropy. The sisters’ decision to use assets from a hospital sale to create a grantmaking foundation became a powerful model for others to follow. Today, more than 300 health care conversion foundations are reinvesting millions of dollars to spark innovative strategies that improve quality of life in communities across the nation.

One of the ways the Sisters of Charity Foundation of Cleveland honored this important anniversary was through being a sponsor of the 2015 Crain’s Women of Note Summit and Awards. Every year, Crain’s readers and event attendees are engaged, inspired and guided by the insight offered from the Women of Note honorees, including Geri Presti, a board member of the Sisters of Charity Foundation. On July 23rd, the Crain’s Women of Note event also featured a new morning leadership summit that brought together generations of inspirational Greater Cleveland women. The inaugural leadership summit was designed to motivate, connect and celebrate women from all walks of life.

The Sisters of Charity Foundation was pleased to support this important event and its efforts to continue to develop women leaders in Cleveland and beyond.
