Ministry Leadership Program Overview

The Ministry Leadership Program serves young adult campus ministers and faith formation staff at sister-led, sister-founded schools and colleges throughout Northeast Ohio through a year of professional development, leadership building and spiritual formation.

Monthly Workshops

Monthly workshops will cover topics such as conflict resolution, emotional intelligence, prayer practices, creating work-life balance, networking, and resiliency. These workshops will be held once a month on Thursdays from 12-4 p.m. at various locations in the Cleveland area. Participants are expected to attend all workshop sessions. The 2019 workshop dates include:

March 14 September 12
April 11 October 10
May 9 November 7
June 13 December 5

*There will not be a formal meeting in July, but participants will be asked to work on their ministry projects and meet with their sister companion.


Sister Companion

Participants will be matched with a sister companion who will serve as a mentor and adviser throughout the program. This pairing will provide an intergenerational formation experience around faith, spirituality, and ministry. The participant and sister companion will meet once a month at the participant’s place of employment for fellowship and discussion. They will also work together to develop a mission integration profject for the participant’s school.


Mission Integration Project

Participants will work in partnership with their sister companion to develop a project or program that will enhance mission integration at the participant’s school. Participants will receive a one-time grant of $1,000 to implement their plans during the 2019-2020 school year.


Stipend for Participation

In recognition of the time commitment expected of the program, participants will receive a stipend of $2,500 for their involvement in the program.



  • Young adult between the ages of 22 and 39
  • Employed at a sister-led or sister-founded school in Northeast Ohio
  • Campus minister or leader in faith formation activities for the school


Applications open November 8 and are due January 11.
